The TURBO-BEARING™ for Dillon RL 550b™ will smooth the indexing and reduce the play and wobble in the shell plate. With the kit installed, you will be able to tighten the shell plate bolt to a greater degree thereby reducing the shell plate wobble while still allowing the shell plate to index freely. By reducing the shell plate wobble, considerable consistency and repeatability of the ammunition manufactured is obtained. This is most evident in the bullet seating depth and bullet crimp but is also observed in the seating of primers.
The replacement indexing star is injection molded with the same polymer used in most commercial AR-15 furniture.

...Really glad someone realized the limits of the original and invented a truly better indexing wheel.
Males the 550B work so much better and faster as cartridges stay upright. Tighter fit to the wheel means more uniformity between each stage and each cartridge. Greater accuracy and easier operation.

I was a bit skeptical buying this to fix something that wasn't broken, but figured I would give it a shot under the recommendation of a friend. It makes all the difference in the world. The shell holder base stays nice and tight. No wobble with .223 brass any more. It also doesn't get jammed up with spilled powder. Smooth, consistent turns every time with no worries of powder flinging. Powder dumps are always consistent. The indexing star is much easier to turn with the significantly longer arms.
